  • In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein's "Miracle Year" in 1905, the Dept. of Physics & Astronomy offered PHYS 1050, The World of Atoms, with special emphasis on Einstein's contributions. The course was taught by Distinguished University Professor Larry Curtis. The presentation was conceptual rather than mathematical, exploring and highlighting the practical impact of Einstein's discoveries on our daily lives.
