The U.S. Department of Energy recently awarded Dr. Yanfa Yan and Dr. Zhaoning Song a $1 million grant for continued research into solar cells producing clean hydrogen. UToledo will provide an additional $250,000 to the project, for a total investment of $1.25 million.
