Powering clean future|Good News! The U.S. Department of Energy recently awarded Dr. Yanfa Yan and Dr. Zhaoning Song a $1 million grant for continued research into solar cells producing clean hydrogen. UToledo will provide an additional $250,000 to the project, for a total investment of $1.25 million.

The U.S. Department of Energy announced Monday the launch of the Cadmium Telluride Accelerator Consortium, a $20 million initiative designed to make cadmium telluride (CdTe) solar cells less expensive, more efficient and develop new markets for solar cell products. The University of Toledo, a leader in solar energy innovation for more than 30 years, will lead the consortium!
