FROM THE EDITOR

After the recent discovery of an SPS newsletter in the old SPS files it was decided to issue a reprint of some articles from the winter issue of the Physics Newsletter from the winter quarter of 1985. After the reprint from the 1985 issue will follow our year in review. It is hoped that this publication will continue on in the future.

FROM THE EDITOR 1985

If you look closely, you will notice that this quarter's newsletter has been done entirely on a computer. It took me a while to learn to use my sister's word processor, but I guess late is better than never.
In any event, there will be some interesting things going on starting next quarter and I hope that you

will find this edition interesting and informative. Have a nice break!
