The Herschel Orion Protostar Survey

The Herschel Orion Protostar Survey, of HOPS, is a program to study in detail the rich population of protostars found in the Orion Molecular Clouds.   HOPS combines 200 hours of Herschel far-IR observations obtained as an open time key program, with Spitzer mid-IR photometry and spectra, HST near-IR imaging, and APEX sub-mm mapping and spectroscopy.  With these data, we have performed the most detailed study to date of a large population of protostars inhabiting a single cloud complex.
