Do problem: 2.12 and the following problem.
Problem: A chain or rope of indefinite length passes freely over
pulleys at heights y1 and y2 above the plane
surface of Earth, with a horizontal distance x2 -
x1 between them. The rope as a uniform linear mass density
k. Find the equation of the curve that the rope takes between the
pulleys. Also, state how you will solve for the constants of
integration that arise in the solution. You need not actually solve for
them.
