Simulations of colloidal nanoparticle aggregation and island-growth

In collaboration with the experimental group of Prof. Bigioni in the Department of Chemistry, we are carrying out simulations of the diffusion and aggregation of dodecanethiol-coated Au nanoparticle clusters at the toluene-air interface of evaporating toluene droplets, in order to understand nanoparticle-nanoparticle and nanoparticle-toluene interactions.
