My wife, Liwei Xu, and I have two children, Michael and Jennifer.
Our son Michael Deng graduated from Duke University and is currently working in finance in New York.
Our daughter Jennifer Deng graduated the University of Pennsylvania and is currently studying at the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago .
Liwei and I were both born in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. She graduated from Nanchang Hongdu Middle School and got into University of Science and Technology of China in 1982 to study chemistry and I graduated from Nanchang 19th Middle School and got into University of Science and Technology of China in 1980 to study Modern Physics.

As a hobby, I

member of Team Toledo Triathlon Club.
