Catalog Description |
Students
will visit freshwater habitats, collect and identify freshwater invertebrate
taxa and conduct an independent project. |
|
Syllabus |
|
|
Curriculum Fit |
This course will accompany
EEES 4720, which is an elective course for upper division science
majors. |
|
Similarity to Other Courses |
This
course does not duplicate material covered in another course. The content and format of the proposed
class will differ from that of Biol 4320.
The main goal of this class is to give students an in depth
familiarity with taxa of freshwater invertebrates that occur in the Great
Lakes basin. Further, students will
devote much of their effort towards an individual hypotheses-testing project
that involves freshwater invertebrates.
Alternatively, Biol 4320 is a broad survey of all invertebrate
taxa. |
