Catalog Description |
The study and application
of sociological theory to understand the role of information and
communication Technologies in shaping social structure and social processes,
with special focus on social policy issues. |

Curriculum Fit |
This
will be an upper division course for a proposed minor in Social
Informatics. We expect it to attract
students interested in understanding the relationship between information and
communication technology (ICT) and social change. It will also provide the broader intellectual foundation for
participation in the Community Informatics internship. |
