Dr. Bagley's materials science research interests span the spectrum from fiber
optics to superconductors and currently, the preparation and processing of thin
films. He has 12 issued patents, plus 1 pending, and nearly 100 refereed technical
publications and book chapters. His current research interests include the
integrated optics subject of fabricated optical waveguides in silica on silicon, and
the preparation and properties of thin films for use in plasma display panels.
