Homework
I will assign quizzes and questions from the course book website as homework. The homework for a certain Chapter is due at a lecture, when we start the next Chapter (see syllabus). For example, the homework on Chapter 1 is due August 27th. Contact me if anything of the below does not work.
 

How to get the course book website and complete a quiz

  • Buy a course book ``The Physical Universe, 10th Edition'' in the UT bookstore.
  • Go the the book website (see the book first page) and click on the cover of the 10th edition
  • Follow a link to Student Edition under Online Learning Center
  • Choose an appropriate Chapter in a window at the left-hand side of the page
  • Search for quizzes or questions in the menu on the left-hand side of the chapter page
  • Click on the quizzes/questions link (This will bring you to the quiz/questions webpage)
  • Answer all the quiz questions and click ``Submit Answers'' button
  • If you are not satisfied with the results, click the quizzes/questions link again, and repeat the quiz. Do this as many times as you want.
  • When you are satisfied with the quiz results, type your First and Last name in a window on the bottom of the quiz Results Reporter page, and send it to the course email address - nasc1100@yahoo.com - by the time we begin to study the next Chapter
  • Important: Save a copy of the quiz results to a file on your computer. If, for some reason, the on-line sending is not working, you will still be able to send your results from your own email address.

    •        Carefully read the email address to avoid sending your answers to nowhere!
                Do not forget to include your name, so I know who is submitting the quiz!
